EXPANDED CAPABILITIES

Please note that the Expanded Capabilities are only available to those who JOIN the group. If you SUBSRIBE to the group you will only be able to send and receive email and you will NOT be able to access any email attachments.

Posting Email

  • Users are not restricted to plain-text only messages
  • Attachments may be sent (max size of post w/attachment: 15 MB)
  • Users may go to the group's web page and Post messages using the group's web based interface
    • You can post to the group from anywhere you can access the web

Email Delivery

  • User selectable options
    1. Individual Emails
      • Each message posted to the group is sent to you
      • Attachments are held at the server and only a link to access the attachment is contained in the email
    2. Daily Digests
      • You receive one message each day containing all the messages posted on that day.
      • Attachments will remain on the server and only links to access the attachments will be contained in the Digest.
    3. Special Notices
      • Only Special Notices posted by a moderator will be sent to you.
    4. No Email
      • No email is sent to you. You must go to the Group's web site to read posts.
  • All email received via options 1, 2, or 3 will automatically contian the Groups name in square brackets as part of the subject line (i.e., [FRUPAC]... or [USNCVA]...).
  • You always have the option of going to the Group's web page and reading Posts that are stored in the archive.
    • You can read posts to the group from anywhere you can access the web

  • Files: Members (upload/modify/download files)
  • Photos: Members (upload/modify/download photos)
  • Links: Members (create/modify/delete links)
  • Database: Members (members can access Database feature)
  • Polls: Limited (members can vote in polls; moderators can create/modify/vote in polls)
  • Members:Members (members view profiles; moderators can view profiles/change settings)
  • Calendar:Members (create/modify/delete events)
  • Promote: Members (get sign-up boxes)
