- Maps for use with UI-View32
-
There are several programs available for creating maps
for UI-View32, plus there are some plug-in map servers
and external display applications.
Precision Mapping Streets and Traveler v8.0 by
Undertow Software is an excellent program that
provides hams in North America street level scrollable
and zoomable maps for all of the USA and Canada. It costs
approximately $50.00.
If you select Precision Mapping you will also need to
download PMapServer7 written by Bill Diaz KC9XG.
It is highly recommended that you
read the installation
notes prior to installing PMapServer7.

If you don't have Packet Radio equipment but you
do have a PC and a sound card then download the freeware
version of AGW Packet Engine. UI-View32 readily
configures for use with AGWPE.

- Download: filter.txt
and replace the outdated version in your UI-View32/Docs
directory.
- Download:
UIview-MySymbols-RevH.zip. There have been numerous
changes and updates to the APRS symbol set since UIview
became "frozen". UI-View allows the
installation of alternate symbol sets without
overwriting the original symbol files called
"SYMBOLS.BMP" and "SYMBOLS2.BMP".
If a user places alternate files named MYSYMB.BMP and
MYSYMB2.BMP in the main UI-View program directory,
UI-View will use these symbols instead the next time
the program is started. The zip file linked below
contains these alternately-named files. Just unpack the
zip file into the main UI-View directory.
